Landing in Manado

"Let's landing in Manado!"

My second brother screamed while he put down his bag

I wondered whether he would like to confirm of going there with my Mom

Yeap, my Mom is come from Manado

Manado is a city in North Sulawesi, one of biggest island in my country

Speaking about Manado....

This city is famous with the fish

Even my grandma's house is near with the harbor

Where we can see the fishery activities everyday

Nice right? :-)

When I asked again to him...he just smiled while he took it one by one

Ikan roa

Ikan : fish ; roa : Manado local fish

This fish has been dried and smoked

Very crunchy

Kacang goyang

Kacang : peanuts ; goyang : shake

It means that, once you eat these peanuts, your tongue will shake like a dance

It's delicious

There are three choices

Covered by palm sugar, chocolate, or sugar

Manisan pala

Manisan  : candied fruits ; pala : nutmeg

It tastes sweet, hot, cold, and crunchy

 And last in Bagea

Covered by dried leaf

This cake is made from sagu and it's baked

Sweet and crunchy

Sagu : sago

a starch extracted from the pith of sago palm stems, Metroxylon sagu. It is a major staple food for the lowland peoples of New Guinea and the Moluccas, where it is called saksak and sagu.
